Obituary of Manuela Soto
Manuela Soto, 79, of Fort Covington, NY., passed away Monday morning, January 1, 2018, at her home, while under the loving care of her family and Hospice of the North Country, Inc.
Born May 2, 1938, in Manhattan, NY., she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Ada Garcia MacFalan.
Manuela was a receptionist for Dr. Huang in the Bronx, NY. for many years.
On August 22, 1959, she was united in marriage to Joseph M. Soto, at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, in the Bronx, NY. He predeceased her on October 22, 1996.
She was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church, in Fort Covington, NY. She enjoyed reading and spending time with her friends and family, especially her granddaughters. She was an avid New York Yankee fan.
Survivors include two sons and daughters in law, Anthony and Mary Soto of Mamaroneck, NY., and Gary and Michele Soto of Palm Beach Gardens, FL. one daughter and son in law, Doreen and Thomas Smith of Fort Covington, NY. four granddaughters, Lindsey, Courtney, Alyssa and Tianna and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be Wednesday from 10 until 11:30 a.m. at the Cappiello-McKenzie and Cosgrove Funeral Home, in Fort Covington, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Noon, at St. Mary’s Church in Fort Covington, NY., with the Rev. Thomas Kornmeyer officiating. Burial will be in the new St. Mary’s Cemetery, in Fort Covington, NY., in the spring.
Donations may be made in her memory to the Alice Ballard Fund of Hospice of the North Country, Inc.
