Clayton H. Muller, Jr., 73, of Fort Covington, NY., passed away Wednesday February 22, 2017, at the U.V.M. Health Care Network Alice Hyde Medical Center, in Malone, NY. He had been a patient there since February 20.
Born in Malone, NY., April 12, 1943, he was the son of the late Clayton and Veronica Capstraw Muller, Sr. He attended local schools.
He served in the United States Army from July 1960 until his Honorable Discharge in April 1961.
In 1963, he was united in marriage to the former Ruth Graves. The marriage ended in divorce in 1970. In 1987, he was united in marriage to the former Laura Woods. She predeceased him in 1994.
Clayton was employed by Tru-Stitch Footwear, in Malone, NY., for more than twenty years. He retired in 1994, because of his health.
He was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church, in Fort Covington, NY. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling and wood crafting projects.
Survivors include four sons, Clayton H. “Sonny” Muller, III., of Fort Covington, NY., Kevin Yaddow of Malone, NY., Barry Muller of Oswego, NY., and Mike Muller and his companion Wendy Nelson of Fort Lauderdale, FL., two daughters. Donna Muller and her companion, Jeff Riley of Malone, NY., and Heaven Muzzy of Schenectady, NY., two brothers, Gerald Muller of Hollywood, FL., and Gary Muller and his companion, Lydia LaRose of Malone, NY., two sisters and a brother in law, Cheryl Chilcoat of Nicholville, NY., and Michelle and Daniel Judware of Moira, NY., fourteen grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, and his wife, he was predeceased by two brothers, Wayne and Keith Muller and two sisters, Patricia Carpenter and Lynda Jock.
Calling hours will be Monday from 9-10 a.m., at the Bruso-Desnoyers Funeral Home, in Malone, NY. A Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel, with the Rev. Thomas Kornmeyer officiating. Burial will be in St. John Bosco Cemetery, in Malone, NY., in the Spring.
Donations may be made in his memory to the Fort Covington Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department.
