Obituary of Beverly J. Maguire

Beverly J. Maguire, 86, of Malone, NY., passed away Friday night, March 10, 2017, at the U.V.M. Health Network-Alice Hyde Medical Center, in Malone, NY., with her loving and supportive family by her side. Born in Malone, NY., October 20, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Alvia and Grace Brisbane Beane. She graduated from Franklin Academy, in Malone, NY., in 1948. On April 21, 1951, she was united in marriage to James F. Maguire, at Sacred Heart Church, in Lake George, NY. He predeceased her on May 4, 2006. Bev was a homemaker and mother to four very active boys. She was a communicant of St. Andre Bessette Parish, at St. Joseph’s Church, in Malone, NY. She was a long time member of the Malone Ladies of the Elks and the Malone American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed reading, gardening, skiing and hunting. Survivors include three sons and four daughters in law, Craig and Nora Maguire of Baldwinsville, NY., William and Beth Maguire of Adams Center, NY., Michael and Lisette Maguire of Malone, NY. and Dorothy Maguire of Webster NY., one brother and sister in law, Douglas and Joan Beane of Malone, NY., one sister, Muriel Cushman of King City, OR., seven grandchildren, three great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Along with her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by one son, James John Maguire in 2014 and one grandson, Jason Maguire. Calling hours will be Thursday from 9 until 11 a.m., at the Bruso-Desnoyers Funeral Home, in Malone, NY. A Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, in the funeral home chapel. The Spring Burial will be held on April 25, 2017, at 9 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, on the Lake Titus Road, in Malone, NY. Donations may be made in her memory to the Malone Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department or to the Alice Ballard Fund of Hospice of the North Country, Inc. in Malone, NY.
