Obituary of Russell Ivan Snyder
Russell Ivan Snyder, 63, of Malone, NY., passed away Tuesday evening, July 9, 2019, at the home of his daughter, in Fort Covington, NY. He had been in ill health.
Born in Utica, NY., December 6, 1955, he was the son of the late Joshua and Cora VanDuzee Snyder.
Russell was employed by Jim Spaulding Construction Company for many years. He was later employed by Childstock Farms until his retirement in March of 2018, because of his health.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and classic muscle cars. The only thing that he enjoyed more than working was spending time with his friends and family.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, John Jasen and Penny Boadway of Fort Covington, NY., three daughters and a son-in-law, Jean Boyea of Fort Covington, NY., Charity and Kevin Elmer of Malone, NY., and Mandy Boyea of Fort Covington, NY., two brothers and a sister-in-law, David Snyder of Reynoldson, NY., and Randy and Sue Snyder of Malone, NY., three sisters and brothers-in-law, Joyce and Lynn Opper of Rome, NY., Sheryl and Daryl Prue of St. Pete. FL., and Rosemary and Bruce Harvey of Lyme, NY., thirteen grandchildren, six great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Along with his parents, he was predeceased by one brother, Murray Snyder in 1987, and one grandson, William Derouchie, II., in 2012.
Calling hours will be Tuesday from 9 until 11 a.m. at the Bruso-Desnoyers Funeral Home, in Malone, NY. A Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel.
Donations may be made in his memory to the Reddy Cancer Treatment Center in Malone, NY.
