Obituary of Ernestine C. Jeror

Ernestine C. Jeror, 89, of Malone, NY., passed away unexpectedly Friday morning, February 21, 2020, at her home. Born in Malone, NY., February 26, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Priscilla Martin Bigness. She attended local schools. Many years ago, Ernestine was employed in the laundry department at the Alice Hyde Hospital and later by Puritan Laundry in Malone. She retired many years ago to raise her children. She was a member of the Cooks Corners Wesleyan Church. She enjoyed flowers, coloring, crocheting, baking and cooking. On July 30, 1949, she was united in marriage to Floyd B. Jeror in the Centenary United Methodist Church, in Malone, NY., He survives. Along with her husband Floyd, she is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Floyd “Butch” and Deb Jeror, Jr. of Adams, NY., and Ricky and Rebecca Jeror of North Port, FL., six daughters and two sons-in-law, Sharon Jeror of Malone, NY., Bonnie and Leland LaMay of Malone, NY., Kathryn Smyth of Malone, NY., Cindy Jeror of Malone, NY., Pattie and Renodyne Gero of Brasher Falls, NY., and Jodi Jeror of Malone, NY., thirteen grandchildren, thirty two great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by seven brothers, Robert and Carl Bigness, Gerald, Rosario, Norman, Clarence and Vernon Lamica, eight sisters, Geraldine Gardner, Helen Grant, Luella Jeror, Irene Lamica, Irene Trombley, Grace Hart, Lucyann Sawyer and Lorena Lamica, one grandson, one granddaughter and one great grandson. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 6-8 p.m., at the Bruso-Desnoyers Funeral Home, in Malone, NY. A Funeral Service will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Cooks Corners Wesleyan Church, with the Rev. Bentley McQuinn and Rev. John Milligan officiating. Burial will be in Morningside Cemetery, in Malone, NY., in the spring. Donations may be made in her memory to the Cooks Corners Wesleyan Church.
