Beverly B. Cox, 87, of Whippleville, NY., passed away peacefully Saturday afternoon, May 9, 2020, at her home, while under the loving care of her family and Hospice of the North Country, Inc.
Born in Malone, NY., January 21, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Freida Olfke Bouvier. She graduated from Franklin Academy, in Malone.
For more than twenty years, Beverly was employed by New York Telephone Company, in Malone, in the business office. She retired in 1978.
She was a communicant of Notre Dame Church, and a member of the Malone Amvets Auxiliary. She bowled in the Malone Mixed Leagues with her husband, for many years and enjoyed gardening, canning and caring for her feathered friends. Her most precious moments were spent with her family especially her grandchildren.
On October 3, 1953, she was united in marriage to Robert F. Cox, at Notre Dame Church, in Malone. He predeceased her on January 27, 2008.
Survivors include, one son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Debra Cox, Jr. of Malone, NY., one brother and sister-in-law, Norman “Skip” and Beverly Bouvier of Malone, NY., one sister Carolyn Cymbrak of Malone, NY., two grandchildren, Jeffrey Cox and his wife Kristy of Clifton Park, NY., and Mackenzie Cox and her fiancé Chris Jarvis of Chateaugay, NY., two great granddaughters, Katarina and Victoria Cox of Clifton Park, NY., and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Along with her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by one brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Joan Bouvier and one brother-in-law, John Cymbrak.
There are no calling hours. A Graveside Service and burial will be held Friday, May 15, 2020, at 1 p.m., at Notre Dame Cemetery, in Malone, NY.
