Obituary of Paula A. Poupore

Paula A. Poupore, 61, of North Bangor, NY., passed away Saturday morning, August 1, 2020, at her home, while under the loving care of her family and Hospice of the North Country, Inc. Born in Malone, NY., February 11, 1959, she was the daughter of the late Wallace “Baldy” and Claire Benoit Poupore. She graduated from Franklin Academy in 1977. Paula was a certified nurse’s assistant and home health aide for many years. She was also employed by Malone Central Schools as a teachers aid for nine years. She retired in 2012 because of her health. She enjoyed working in her flower and vegetable gardens and spending time with her family especially her nieces and nephews. Survivors include four brothers and sisters-in-law, Alan and Lynn Poupore of Malone, NY., Scott and Judy Poupore of North Bangor, NY., Peter Poupore of North Bangor, NY., and Aaron and Lori Poupore of North Bangor, NY., Lisa Crossman of North Bangor, NY., one sister, Mary Kemp of Malone, NY., three aunts, Lillian Yando of Malone, NY., Sondra Knox of Chateaugay Lake, NY. and Rita LaRocque of Plattsburgh, NY., and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Along with her parents she was predeceased by one brother, Patrick Poupore and one sister, Jeanne Lessor. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, August 7, 2020, at 2 p.m., at Notre Dame Church, in Malone, NY. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, in Malone. Donations may be made in her memory for Masses or to the Alice Ballard Fund of Hospice of the North Country, Inc. in Malone, NY.
