Cory S. Andrews, 43, of Westville, NY, passed away on October 26, 2020, at his home, following a courageous battle with cancer. He was surrounded by the love and care of his family and Hospice of the North Country.
Born on September 4, 1977, in Malone, NY, Cory was the son of Michael Andrews, Sr., and the late Rosemary Lamay Andrews.
A 1995 graduate of Red Hook High School, Cory enlisted in the United States Marine Corps as a Combat Engineer. He served his country with honor until his discharge in 1999. Upon returning home, Cory became a skilled carpenter, working self-employed until illness prevented him from continuing.
Since 1999, Cory shared his life with his wife, Toni Andrews, and together they built a home filled with love and devotion. They were blessed with three children; Jarett, Karina, and Lanie Andrews, who were the center of Cory’s world and his proudest achievements.
Cory will be remembered for his unwavering dedication to his family, his infectious sense of humor, and his passion for the outdoors. He found joy in coaching his children’s sports teams and sharing his love of hunting, fishing and camping.
In addition to his wife, Toni, and their children, Cory is survived by his father, Michael Andrews Sr.; his brother, Michael (Jodi) Andrews Jr.; and his sister, Buffy Monica.
He was predeceased by his beloved mother, Rosemary Andrews.
A celebration of Cory’s life will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. at Cooks Corners Wesleyan Church, officiated by Rev. Bentley McQuinn. Military honors will follow, provided by members of the Malone American Legion Post 219.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Cory’s memory to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
