Obituary of Theresa M. Monette

Theresa M. Monette, 95, of Malone, NY, passed away Thursday night September 30, 2021, at the Alice Center, in Malone. She had been a resident there since April. Born in Tupper Lake, NY, January 28, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Nellie Drew Campbell. On October 31, 1945, she was united in marriage to Joseph P. Monette. He predeceased her on October 27, 1976. Theresa was a well-respected housekeeper for many families in the Malone area. She was a past member of the Malone Grange. She enjoyed playing bingo, watching golf, singing and cooking and baking for her beloved family and friends. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Joseph and Cynthia Monette of Putnam, CT, three daughters and a son-in-law, Mary Rivers of Southbridge, MA, Joan Marsh of Sturbridge, MA, and Donna and Ricky Williams of Malone, NY, one brother, Emery Campbell of Rochester, NY, eight grandchildren, twenty five, great grandchildren, one great great grandchild and several nieces, and nephews. Along with her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by two sons, George and Paul Monette, one brother George Campbell and two sisters, Evelyn Pancake and Stella Campbell. Calling hours will be Thursday October 7, 2021, from 1 until 2 p.m., at the Bruso-Desnoyers Funeral Home in Malone, NY. A Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Billy Bond officiating. Burial will be in Morningside Cemetery. Donations may be made in her memory to the Alice Ballard Fund of Hospice of the North Country in Malone, NY, or to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
