Suzanne Kimberly Seidel, 53 of Fort Covington, N.Y. passed away suddenly on October 7, 2021.
Born April, 28, 1968 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pennsylvania, Suzanne is the oldest of 3 children of Richard (Rocky) Seidel and Jewel Winifred Seidel. The Seidel family, including younger sister Tracy Seidel (Dodd) and Brother Richard Seidel II lived in Allentown, Pa. until 1978 when they moved to New York State settling on 46 acres on the Westville/Fort Covington line. All of the children attended and graduated from the Salmon River Central School.
After graduation, Suzanne enrolled in Hartwick College in pursuit of a teaching degree in English and Literacy. This, the first step in her educational journey that steered her through programs at NCCC ( both Saranac Lake and Malone campuses) then Plattsburgh State until ultimately receiving a Master Degree of Science and Education from SUNY Potsdam in 2006.
During her time at NCCC SL, she met, and sometime later married David Hand Patnode of Lake Placid NY. They moved to Fort Covington in 1996 and together they raised 5 children between them; Matthew DJ Patnode, her step son, and her 4 children Braden, David Jesse, Kathleen(Katy) and Suzanne Elizabeth (Suzi II).
Suzanne passed away suddenly on Thursday October 7th 2021 when her car left the road on Rt. 1 in Fort Covington.
She leaves behind her husband and children, her Sister and Brother, her parents and collectively her grandchildren Jayleigh, Luke, Karter, Tyrion, Amelia, Jackson, Astraea, Alphonse, Elena and Aiden.
Calling hours will be held from 4-6 p.m. on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at Cappiello-McKenzie & Cosgrove Funeral Home in Fort Covington, N.Y. A prayer service will take place at 6p.m. in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Billy Bond officiating.
