Obituary of Clara R. Perry

~Clara R. Perry, 83, of Malone, NY., passed away Tuesday afternoon, , June 20, 2017, at The Alice Center, in Malone, NY., with her loving family by her side. She had been a resident there since March 22.
   Born in Malone, NY., June 20, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Alice Vermette Spinner. She attended local schools.
   On June 15, 1957, she was united in marriage to Harrison F. “Bub” Perry, at St. John Bosco Church, in Malone, NY. He survives.
   Many years ago, Clara worked as a home health aide and later at Tru-Stitch Footwear in Malone, NY. She then was employed in the kitchen at the Alice Hyde Medical Center, in Malone for many years. She retired several years ago.
   She was a long time member of the Malone Women of the Moose. She enjoyed playing bingo and embroidery. She will be missed by her cat “Peaches”.
   Along with her husband, Harrison, she is survived by one daughter and son in law, Rose and Kenny “Kdog” Marshall of Bellmont, NY., one brother and sister in law, Carl and Margaret Spinner of Arlington, TX., one grandson, Aaron Marshall, one great grandson, Aiden Southworth and many nieces and nephews.
   Besides her parents, she was predeceased by four brothers, William, James, Robert and Elmer Spinner and four sisters, Elizabeth and Nellie Gratton, Eleanor Recore and Pearl Jackson.
   There are no calling hours. A graveside service will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at Notre Dame Cemetery, in Malone, NY., with the Rev. Arthur Preve officiating.
   Donations may be made in her memory to the Burke Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department.
