Obituary of Edmund J. Loibl

Edmund J. Loibl, 80, of Fort Covington, N.Y., passed away on June 8, 2022 at the University of Vermont Health Network; Alice Hyde Medical Center in Malone, N.Y.
Born on August 19. 1941 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Maximillion and Catherine (Pertler) Loibl. He graduated high school and served in the United States Army from 1959-1966, serving in Vietnam. He worked as a self-employed Oil Burner Service Technician. He also served in the Pompton Lakes -Riverdale N.J. First Aide Squad and was a special police officer in Riverdale. He enjoyed hunting in his spare time.
On December 17, 1960, he was wed to the former Edna Ressland in Pompton Lakes, New Jersey. She survives.
Other survivors include his daughter Arlene Soulier of Dickenson Center, N.Y., his sister Margaret Saban of Pittsburgh, PA., grandchildren; Ken and Laura Trumper, Jessica Trumper, Jason and Kelly Trumper and Kristopher and Ashley Trumper, as well as six great grandchildren; Xavier, Aiden, Charlie, J.J., Alexandra, Haley and Kayley, a sister-in-law Barbara Ressland and his nieces and nephews Bobby, Patti and Cathy.
He was predeceased by his daughter Ruth Catherine Trumper, ason Edmund, Jr., a brother Eugene Loibl, and a sister Barbara Ficther.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, June 11 from 11:30a.m.-3p.m. at the Fort Covington American Legion.
Donations may be made in lieu of flowers to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or the Fort Covington Fire or E.M.S.
