Obituary of Harold A. Gibson

~   Harold A. Gibson, 79, of North Lawrence, NY., passed away, Wednesday, July 5, 2017, at U.V.M. Health Care Facility, in Burlington, VT., with his loving family by his side.
   Born in Stockholm, NY., October 26, 1937, he was the son of the late Allen and Violet Wolfe Gibson. He attended local schools.
   On January 27, 1960, he was united in marriage to the former Alice L. Snyder, in Moira, NY. She survives.
   For more than thirty five years, Harold was employed by Stony Knoll Farms in Nicholville, NY. He later was employed by the St. Lawrence County Highway Department, from 1984 until he retired in 1999.
   Every spare moment that he had was spent with his animals on his hobby farm. He also enjoyed cutting wood, scenic rides in the country, and being in the great outdoors.
   Along with his wife, Alice, he is survived by three sons and two daughters in law, Harold A. Gibson, Jr., of San Diego, CA., Raymond F. and Tammie Gibson of Dickinson, NY., and Allan F. and Darla Gibson of Dickinson, NY., three daughters and one son in law, Violet and Aaron Warner of North Lawrence, NY., Kim Gibson and her companion, Brad Barber of North Lawrence, NY., and Molly Barber and her companion, Peter Christian of Dickinson, NY., one brother and sister in law, Gerald and Sally Gibson of Hopkinton, NY., two sisters and a brother in law, Sharon and Tom Reardon of Florida and Linda Gibson of Fayetteville, NC., fourteen grandchildren, twenty seven great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
   Along with his parents, he was predeceased by one son, Joseph A. Gibson and two sisters, Beatrice Crump and Dorothy Nichols.
   Calling hours will be Tuesday from 10 until 11 a.m., at the Anderson Funeral Home, in North Lawrence, NY. A Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel, with the Rev. Ervin Martin officiating. Burial will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery in North Lawrence, NY.
