Roy A. Barrick, Jr. (aka “Butch”), 70, of Fort Covington (formerly of Middleton), NY passed away on August 1, 2023, at CVPH surrounded by family at his side. Born on May 1, 1953, he was the son of the late Roy, Sr. & Anna (nee. Cross) Barrick. After his parents passed, Albert & Grace Wyble welcomed him in their home as another son.
He is survived by his wife Laura M. Barrick (nee. Russell) of Fort Covington; a son Roy Barrick, III and companion (Tasha Perry); a daughter Kimberly (nee. Barrick) Fish and companion (Roger LaMore) of Brushton; grandchildren, Anna-Virginia Barrick, Bryan Barrick, Zoie, Zahira, and Bentley, Cassandra Anderson & children (Harley & Bella of Bassett, VA, and Brooke (Jonathan) Taylor of Port Jervis); Raymond Anderson & daughter Avah of Port Jervis; a niece Dawn (Bryan) Jarvis of Westville & children (Wyatt, Justin and companion Luna Mullen), nephew Corey Soulia of Constable and his adoptive family of Albert “Butch”, Cindy (Andy) Gause, Charles, Robert (Lori), Carl (Marsha) Wyble and all the children of each family member; and his extended family of Mama Dee & Harry Wilbur, Jr. and all their children (Donnie (Shontell), Tammy, Tina, Serena, Kevin, Harry III, Travis (Tayla), Jeremy (Jessie), Lacey (Fred) Wilson and all the children of each family member).
He was predeceased by a daughter Tiffany Barrick; son & daughter-in-law Ray (Jennifer) Anderson; mother & father; adoptive parents Albert & Grace Wyble; mother & father-in-law Earl & Florence “Dorothy” Russell; sister & brother-in-law Cynthia (Walter) Soulia.
Butch loved spending time with family, friends, fishing, hunting and watching and participating in Demolition Derbies.
There will be no services at Butch’s request. The family would like to thank Bruso-Desnoyers Funeral Services of Malone for their compassion during this time of sorrow. The family extends their deepest appreciation to CVPH (H.K. Freedman) Renal Center for all their guidance and care for Butch and the family.
