Obituary of Edna Allen

Edna Allen, 75, of North Bangor, N.Y., passed away on August 7, 2023, surrounded by her loving family and under the care of Hospice of the North Country. Born on November 15, 1947, in Newport, Vermont, she was the daughter of the late Dr. Edward Wilson and Mary Wilson. She graduated high school and had worked at one time in the Dowlings Warehouse in Milton, Vt. On May 22, 1970, she was wed to Carmen Allen in Cadyville, N.Y. He survives. Carmen married Edna off her father's farm and traveled the world with her as a military couple. Living in Okinawa, Japan, Germany and El Paso, Texas. She loved fishing and her flower gardens. Edna is further survived by her sons; Carmen Allen III of North Bangor and Shawn Allen of St. Albans, Vt., her daughter; Shiela Ross of St. Albans, a sister; Elizabeth Wilson of Swanton, Vt., five granddaughters, four grandsons and six great grandchildren, with a set of twins on the way. She was predeceased by her daughter; Sharon Gaborieult and brothers; Rod, Rolland and Roy Wilson. Calling hours will be held at Bruso-Desnoyers Funeral Home in Malone, N.Y. on Friday, August 11 from 12-2 p.m. A funeral service will take place at 2 in the funeral Home Chapel with Elder Dave Schanck of the Malone Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints presiding. Burial will take place at St. John Bosco Cemetery in Malone. Donations in Edna’s memory may be made to Hospice of the North Country.
