Carolyn O. Stowell, 94, of Westville Center, passed away December 31, 2024, in North Dinwiddie, Virginia at her son’s home with whom she had been living since January of 2019. Carolyn was born January 17, 1930, to Alfred and Irene (Northrup) Robinson. Carolyn was a registered nurse at Alice Hyde Hospital in Malone for many years. Prior to that she was a nurse for Dr. Ronan. Carolyn was a lifelong resident of Westville Center, a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Westville Volunteer Fire Department and a member of the Westville Historical Organization. Carolyn was wed to Donald E. Stowell on August 10, 1953, he predeceased her in February of 2015. Carolyn is predeceased by her parents, her husband, two sisters, Joanne and Roderick Lauzon and Jeanne and Paul Tupia; and a brother, Alfred Robinson, Jr. Carolyn is survived by her son, Bruce Stowell and his companion, Lea Ann Almond of North Dinwiddie, VA; her granddaughter, Haylee Evers and great grandson, Grayson, of Oak Grove, KY; a granddaughter, Molly Stowell of Tennessee; a step granddaughter, Rebecca and Leonard Oney along with their two sons of Massena; two step grandsons, Timothy and Siobhan Keegan-Delles of Port St. Lucie, FL and James and Elisabeth Delles along with two daughters and two stepsons of Chapel Hill, SC; a sister, Lois and Larry Tummons of Westville Center; a brother, Earl and Linda Robinson of Mooers; as well as several nieces and nephews. A Burial Service will be held in the spring at the St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery in Constable. Arrangements are in the care of Cappiello-McKenzie and Cosgrove Funeral Home in Fort Covington.
