Ron and I were friends what seems like a lifetime ago. We went to high school together and did some "serious hanging out" afterwards. We both served in the Marine Corps. He may have mentioned me inasmuch as I was the SOB who signed him up. I loved Ron like the brother I never had.
Ron was the best athlete I ever knew. He was just a natural. He was the envy of most guys because he seemed to be fearless around the girls. You probably saw that he still had some of that charm. He will be missed. As long as I am alive he will still have at least one friend on this earth.
