So sorry to hear of Pat's passing. My condolences to his wife and family. I worked with Pat at the Malone Telegram back in the '90s. He was the photographer - and that was back when he had to develop and print all his photos in the company's darkroom. Once the paper went to press around 11 a.m. each day, I was free until late afternoon (because I was in sports) and so Pat and I would often hang out at his house playing video games. I also went to his camp at Lake Titus a few times. We lost touch over the years, but I'll always remember him as a great guy to be around - funny and smart - and a great photographer. (And it'll be hard to forget his rendition of "I Like Big Butts" at the Franklin County Fair!) By the sound of things (reading the other condolences), it seems that Pat was great at pretty much everything he set his mind to. Like many others, I will miss him.

My condolences to his beloved wife, Louise, and the family and friends of Patrick. I will miss his online messages, kind words, and techie assistance. He once told me he loved me like a mom...I will take that with me and remember him always for his kind soul and sweet heart. Thank you for helping me and your wonderful advice..the world has lost a great man and heaven has gained an angel!

For the past year I served Pat daily at Starbucks. He was a very kind and uplifting person. Quick with a smile and patient as the day is long. All the crew at Target Starbucks are so sad to hear of his passing. Wishing you comfort and peace in your time of mourning.

I wish to express my sincere condolences to all of the Murtagh family. Although I have never met Patrick he is still part of my extended family. I did have the pleasure of knowing his Dad and Mom and with his great heritage he must have been a wonderful person. So sad, so young. Peace be with all of you! Love, Connie

Louise, My thoughts and prayers are with you. I wish I could be there for the service. A set of memories about Patrick - in 1973 I finish college at Clinton Community in Plattsburgh and had to vacate my student housing. I had gotten a job locally and needed a place to stay til I could I scrape together the funds for an apartment. Patrick's parents, Kitty & Greg, invited me to stay with them. Pat was almost 3. I remember his sweet little face in the play pen with his toys. He was a good child. I babysat him a few times so they could go out and he was always sweet tempered.
There were all those years after I moved out west that I just barely kept in touch with Kitty, so the next time I saw Patrick was at Aunt Betty's 90th birthday 4 years ago. Patrick had turned into a very nice and interesting man, and I enjoyed our brief visit and meeting you.
I will be uploading the photo I took of you two that day.
